Arijit Singh ( Bengali ; অরিজিৎ সিং) born 25 April 1979) [1] is an Indian playback singer. [2] He was born in Murshidabad , West Bengal . He started his career in 2005 with an actual program Fame Gurukul . His name became famous when he sang the song Tum Hi Ho in the 2013 Aashiqui 2 film . For this reason he was voted the best male singer at the 59th Filmfare Awards . Apart from these, he also sang a similar song in Kill Dil which was named Sajde . In January 2014, he won the 71st Filmfare AwardsSooraj Dobha Hai song which was sung in Roy film was chosen as the best song. In the year 2018, he has also been given the Filmfare Award for the song Roku Na Roke Naina. Singh's music career began when his mentor Rajendra Prasad Hazari felt that "Indian classical music was a dying tradition", insisting that he leave his hometown and turn the reality show Fame Gurukul (2005) at the age of 18 ). Singh's music career began when he left his hometown at the age of 18, at the insistence of his mentor, Rajendra Prasad Hazari, and participated in the reality show Fame Gurukul (2005). However, he finished sixth on the show. During the show, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali recognized her talent and asked her to sing the song "Yun Shabnami" in her upcoming film Saawariya . But during the production of the film, its screenplay changed and the song was not required in the film, and for this reason it was never released. After Fame Gurukul, the head of Tips Music , Kumar Taurani signed her for an album, but that too was never released.
He then participated in another reality show, 10K10 Le Gaye Dil , and was the winner of the show. In 2008, he moved to Mumbai , and moved into a rented room in the Lokhandwala area of the city . Here, he built his recording studio by investing prize money of Rs 10 lakhs from 10K10 Le Gaye Dil serial. He became a music producer , and he began composing music for advertisements, news channels and radio stations. Singh in his early music career Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy , Vishal-Shekhar , Mithun Sharma , Monty Sharma and Pritam ChakrabortyLike worked as a music producer for music directors. While working with other composers, he mainly supervised the singers and chorus sections, but while working with Pritam, he started composing music on his own.
2010-2013: entry into singing and Aashiqui 2 [ edit ]
In 2010, Singh started working with Pritam in three films - Golmaal 3 , Crook and Action Replay . In the same year, she made her Telugu film industry debut with the Telugu film KD with the song "Niwe Na Neeva Na" by Sandeep Chauta . In 2011, Singh debuted as a singer in Bollywood with the song "Phir Mohabbat" from Mithun's Murder 2 film, though he recorded it in 2009 itself. That same year, when that agent Vinod(2012), while Pritam asked him to sing it as he was programming for the song "Raabta".
