Aishwarya's father's name is Krishnaraj Rai, who is a marine engineer and mother's name is Vrinda Rai, who is a writer. He has an older brother named Aditya Rai.
Aishwarya Rai's mother-tongue is Tulu, apart from this she also has knowledge of Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, English and Tamil languages. Aishwarya Rai's initial education (till Class 7) was held in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Later, his family settled in Mumbai. In Mumbai, he taught at Arya Vidya Mandir, Shanta-Cruz and later at DG Ruparel CollegeCollege, Matunga. Besides teaching, he continued to offer modeling and also modeled in them.
He got his first offer of modeling from Camlin Company when he was a student of Ninth grade. After that he appeared in the advertisement of Coke , Fuji and Pepsi . And after becoming Miss World in 1994, his demand increased and he got offers of many films.

His first film, Irvar , was made in Tamil , which was directed by Mani Ratnam . Kandukondin Kandukondeen, a film made by Rajiv Menon in 2000, has become quite famous. His first movie in Hindi and Pyaar Ho Gaya , his coin in Hindi films was composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and since then his films have mostly been made in Hindi. He worked in Devdas , a film made by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in 2002 . Apart from this he has done some Bengali films. In 2004, for the first time, he was arrested by Gurinder ChadhaWorked in an English film, Bride and Prejudice . His leading films in 2006 include Misratress of Spices , Dhoom 2 and Umrao Jaan .
Today, Aishwarya is one of the hottest actresses of Indian cinema and is among the richest women in India. In the year 1999, Rai has been dating Bollywood stars Salman Khan , their relationship remained in the media till 2001 when they did not separate from each other. As a reason for the breakdown, Rai charged Khan for "abuse (verbal, physical and emotional), infidelity and insult." [2] According to an article in Times of India in 2009, Khan has beaten him Refused to go: "It's not true that I hit a woman." [3]
