Anushka Sharma (born 1 May 1988) [1] is a model and an actress of the Bollywood film industry. He started his acting journey in 2008 with the Hindi film Rab made by The Jodi which was made by Aditya Chopra . It was highly appreciated for her film Band Baja Baraat (2010) created by her Shruti Kakkad . [2] Both films nominated them for Best Actress in the Filmfare Awards.Anushka Sharma was married to famous cricket player Virat Kohli on December 11, 2017.
Born and raised in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, Sharma got his first break as a model for fashion designer Wendell Rodricks in 2007 and went to Mumbai to make a career in modeling. After a successful audition in Yash Raj Films, he signed the contract of three films with production house and started the screen in front of Shahrukh Khan in Rab made The Jodi (2008). In the film, she was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. His next two roles were also under the banner of Yash Raj Films - Badmash Company (2010) and Band Baja Baraat (2010).

Sharma was born in Ayodhya , but his parents are from Garhwal , Uttarakhand . His father, Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma is an army officer and mother Ashima Sharma is a homemaker. His elder brother, Cannes, [3] who was the first state-level cricketer, is now working in the Merchant Navy. He has done his studies from the Army School and has taken a degree in art from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. [4] Later, she came to start her modeling career in Mumbai.

Sharma says that in the beginning, she wants to make a name in the modeling world and was not particularly attracted to the movies. [4] She modeled her modeling career in the Lakme Fashion Week as a model of Wendell Rodricks's Les Dumps show and was selected as the main model for the Spring Summer 07 Collection of Rodrick. After this he has worked in the publications of Silk & Shine, Whisper, Nathalah Jewelery and Fiat Palio.
The first character in his performance was opposite of Shah Rukh Khan in Aditya Chopra's Rab made The Jodi (2008). His performance was very much appreciated. [5] The film was highly appreciated by critics and it was a blockbuster hit. His second film, Badmash Company , which was produced by Yash Raj Films, was released on May 7, 2010. [6]
In 2010, Sharma completed his deal with Yash Raj Films with Band Baaja Baraat , which was produced by Manish Sharma and Ranvir Singh was in the lead role. [7] The film received a good review and the film was successful, Anushka Sharma's performance was also appreciated. [8] It is often noted that the film has been a major headway for Anushka's film career because it gave them a lot of recognition.
Personal life and off-screen tasks [ edit ]
By September 2014, Sharma is pursuing Master of Economics Degree through correspondence. They started practicing vegetarianism in 2015. The Times of India listed them as "the hottest vegetarian celebrities of Bollywood". He was named as "Most Vegetarian 2015" by Pita. He is a fond of transcendental meditation. Sharma is considered a victim of anxiety disorder and has demanded treatment for it. By September 2015, Sharma is in the relationship with cricketer Virat Kohli . [9] [10] Their relationship has attracted substantial media coverage in India, although he is reluctant to talk openly about it.
From practice, the Hindu, Sharma is a follower of 'Anant Dhamma Ashram Bodh Ashram' in Haridwar with his family. Anand Baba is the leader of the Ashram, who is the spiritual master of his family and the regular visitor to the actress ashram.
In September 2013, Sharma took part in the ramp in a film show and organized in memory of the late filmmaker Yash Chopra. He attended the inaugural function of the 2015 Indian Premier League to be held in Kolkata, which included Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Farhan Akhtar and composer Pritam.
